I spent an honest ten hours making a crochet purse. even paying myself minimum wage at six bucks, i wind up with a price tag of 280.00, using the equation pictured.
I would never pay that for a crocheted purse. I am far from perfect in my art, and so, cut this answer in half and i still feel like 140.00 is insanely too much. I feel this formula works best with quick to do, cheap projects, or small projects, which use very fine materials.
Meanwhile i have no idea what to put for a price on something like this. it truly is beautiful, but i dont want to be ripping people off.
Also i feel retail prices are generally a little to incredibly insane as a basic consumer. So why would i charge that? But if so, what DO i charge… ? i worked hard on this, so i dont want to short myself, but i dont want to be a jerkface self centered propreitor either.
Im leaning towards forty bucks. Maybe. i think sixty is better. but again. I feel im slimming my available marked hugely at that point.
So i thought id pop in and write about crafting for the first time in a while.
My latest endeavor is a crochet purse. Utilizing nine openwork flower squares i had begun for a scarf but hadnt completed.
It was in my favorite colorway, ‘folklore’ by loops and threads.
I counted eight, i created one new one, and i set to stitching them together with basic single crochet. I had yet to successfully accomplish this yet in life lol.
So here is that.
And then i set about crocheting around the edges.
The above two pics were for comparison as i was not sure wether to back the openwork squares in orange, or blue. I am leaning towards blue.
So, i began working on a back panel, and decided to make my first attempt at a single crochet, alternating color/row square.
I made a round of twelve, crocheted two per stitch for the second round, and then i would put two in one sc, then sc two normally, then two in the next sc, then sc two more… Repeat to form two more corners.
I switched to four per corner stitch, at one point because i was getting a lot of rounding, and broadness. I ultimately discovered, that THREE, was the magic number. Not two, not four, but three.
So at this point i have the front panel complete, and am about three rows shy of the back being done. Here is a pic of the two parts together. As they are now. No idea what i want to do for a strap.
So, i see a lot of people coming through here using search tags like Mistic ecig and Logic Ecig.
So here are my thoughts on both of those, starting with the Logic Ecig
The Logic Ecig is one of the best disposable brands i have come across.I passed down my first Logic Ecig battery and ONE carto to my neighbor, to get him started, once i moved on to myEgo-T and various attachments. That was nearly a year ago, and he is STILL using that same battery, AND the ORIGINAL carto. Logic cigs are some kind of awesomeness. the original juice that comes in them reminds me a bit of a black and mild, but it is still very pleasant vaping in spite of that, and one gets usedto it quickly.
The vapor production is excellent, and as i said, they stand unmatched in the durability of their batteries and cartos. I got mine at Shop Rite. What you may not know though, is that you can get an entire line of products to support the Logic cig, and that it is not just a disposable type. They have everything from batteries, to chargers, to car adapters, to cartos. here is the website.
The Logic cig makes excellent cartos, and the ONE and ONLY one i ever needed to use, i passed down to my neighbor when i got him vaping, nearly a year ago, and he is STILL using it. I get him juice online as he is not very internet or computer savvy, and he fills the SAME carto over and over and uses it daily.
You CAN refill your logic cartos if you know what you are doing, and if you do not, here is a video.

I fully recommend refilling your cartos. especially if you are paying 20 bucks for 5 or 6 prefilled ones. pay that once, and start refilling yourself, and youll have cartos for the YEAR.
Logic cigs are amazing, as far as their hardware, regarding battery life, fillability, vapor production, and general ability to hold up to day to day wear.
Absolutely a great step into vaping, and i hope to see their company last along time.
Also, a quick tip, if you want some more vapor production, you can be sneaky and cover one of the air holes with your finger. just dont pull too hard or long.
Now, for the Mistic Ecig.
So, as most of you know, the Mistic is discontinued, and im guessing most of the people coming through here tagging it in their searches are looking for a place to get parts and further cartos. HOWEVER, lose not your hope, in spite of this discontinued product. you can get Mistic parts, cartos, chargers, and anything else you may need, at:
From this page you can order you batteries, chargers, cartos, and even… the Mistic style juice. However, as i said with the Logic cig, i highly recommend filling your own cartos. I hope this helps. This model is called the ‘Mirage’.
The Mistic/Mirage cig has a great carto on it, with what i suspect to be a slightly beefier coil. i dont know for sure but the draw and the vapor production is great in these.
Also from Themagicmist.com, i recommend the Geneva model, which is compatible with the Greensmoke.

NOW…. Moving on to my latest discovery for the CHEAPEST and BEST TASTING (for the low low low price), e liquid.
If you are a new vaper, who has only use the really expensive pre-filled cartridges before, i highly recommend buying your own juice, and filling your cartos yourself. I use a huge battery and a tank now, myself, asi graduated from the cig style models, but, i do go back to them from time to time. and obviously i fill them myself.

Over 5,000 people have come to my blog because Tophatter pissed them off.
I myself abandoned their cheatery and overall shenanigans months ago. But i have continued to watch as hundreds of people come through here using the tags ‘tophatter sucks’ ‘cancel -tophatter’ ‘tophatter ripped me off’ et cetera, ad infinitum.
I recently received some mail from some VERY VERY mad patrons, and former patrons of the site. it seems things have only gotten worse over time on the site, with higher fees, and lesser quality goods, with no help from the money grubbing staff, who seem to be continuously encouraging people to sell even the most falsified of product, including fake silver, marked 925 even though its not, which is a felony, and also falsified gems, electronics, and other merchandise.
As well, no one, (myself included, when i was using them) can get any kind of help for buyers who continuously back out of deals, sellers who solf cheap or false merch, and as well, getting one’s money back for such rubbish.
It is madness.
And there is so much other mad generated by all this, people have actually started somethings to get some relief from the highway robbery, and entirely unregulated jewelery and fake designer things, being sold for huge amounts, and then turning out to be entirely not genuine.
I am glad i left a long time ago, but i know you guys are still suffering. so here are two links.
This is a facebook group in which one may privately discuss exactly what their situation has been, and why they are upset. In this group, unlike the entirely unhelpful TH facebook page, and little IM sessions with the robots, when you say a seller is selling fake jewelry and handbags, and that you need your $100.00 back? No one from Tophatter will come in and ban you from the room, for being so ‘negative’. The only negativity they want to stop is the red kind in their bank accounts. it is absolutely unacceptable. The group stands now at 230 people.
And here, is the one that will really, really really help….
This is a petition on change.org, to address the blatant theivery which is hurting so many. These people have absconded with thousands of dollars of peoples money, in various ways, and i know that i for one, would love to see the several hundred i myself lost, finally addressed.
Tophatter seems to feel that they are some incredible up and coming, impenetrable, fortress of commerce which is impunicable to all kinds of legal actions based on their conduct. That they can turn their back on the fact that their site is screwing over literally thousands of people (and thats just MY number, from THIS BLOG ALONE) and taking their money unjustly, and that no one cares.
What was once an awesome forum, and idea for commerce among e-purchasers, has become a bloody financial nightmare for so many. so sad, because the ideas they had initially were great. too bad they started screwing people over. And supporting so many other people, who only want to screw people over…..
Well, people care. Lots of people care, and they are very very mad.
This is a picture of my latest vape junk containment unit. Pictured is a bunch of eliquids, my 1100, with a cart on it and a cone for aesthetic purposes. And in the background are my Mistic.Mirage models, and my greensmoke/geneva models, which are cig style. also a bunch of random cartridges. mostly 510 threaded, but some not, to fit previous equipment i had lying around.
I will have been smoke free for six months, in 4 days, on the 16th of January.
I have smoked socially, and periodically during times of stress, mostly induced by the rampant stupid of most of the general populus. but what are you going to do? I still smoked what i figure to be about 3000 less cigarettes.
Thats right. Three-thousand less. Im vaping my face off right now as a matter of fact… and with this drag i notice i need to drip. I have never been a dripper before now, but lo and behold, here i go to get my little box of stuffs….

Here is what has been on the menu…. I actually tried a few menthols… even though i was never a menthol smoker… I found my vaping experience lacking in that i had no throat hit and the tastes were getting old. It all started because i got some pre-filled carts in menthol by accident, and by the time i had vaped them all dry i was like hm… that wasnt too bad, actually. so i got some new juice.
Pictured above is a huge beta test bottle of Angel Kisses by Juicy Vapor. Also from them is After Dinner Mint, and Ecto plasma, which is the only one of the 3 which is not mentholated.
Also, from Fuzionvapor is Hadouken, Vacation, and Mr. Miyagi. Of those three from fuzion miyagi is the non mentholated juice.
I am on the fence about wether or not i should go full menthol. i cant seem to get decent throat hit lately, and i think i might have to specifically find some high PG juice to bring back the throat hit.
I still have no desire at all to smoke anywhere even near full time. even with my lack of…. i dunno, enthusiasm, i guess, over my current vaping situation. I need some nasty juice.something that will bite me back.
So thats my juice dilemma.confident though i am that i will find the right one. Fuzionvapor will help me, i know it. i just need to figure out which juice it will be…
As for models…. thats a whole different story… i have been switching back and forthe between cig style low mah batteries, and carts, to carts on my 100 mah, to mini tanks on my 1100…. I just cant decide… thay all have so much merit… in certain areas.
I need to get new parts for my Vivi, that tank vaped great… and i found a vivi mini, whih i want to try because it is still entirely rebuildable, but i dont have to pick 3mls of one juice alone. thats a big draw for me…. even with the batting cartos/blanks, i love that i can change flavors every few hours. I just keep my little box near me, and i have a plethora of awesome to choose from.
i have been leaning towards the blanks/carts on the 1100… i think the voltage is higher, and they just vape so nicely. and obviously i have the bonus of not having to keep 3 or 4 on my person, with chargers, and having to charge them every time i got in the car pretty much. lol
i have two 1100 batteries, and they rule. and i think they are 6 volts and the small ones are only 3 or something, so the vapor is totally different in taste and fluidity. and yet, that familiar shape of the cig style is so alluring, especially when driving.
SO, yeah, thats where i am with vaping. it is still one of the best things i have ever discovered, and honestly i love the challenge presented by all the different parts and models.

I have had those little rubber plugs that come on a new pre-filled carto floating around everywhere, for a long time. I tried to keep a bunch around because occasionally i like to pre fill a bunch of cartos and dont want them to dry out before i get to use them. otherwise though, they have been pretty useless, until today.
Today i went looking for a new way to fill an empty cart without getting juice on the end you drag from, or overfilling, or underfilling aka turkey bacon.
I came across this video, which used the rubber caps, or condoms (tee hee, sorry, cant help myself) but anyway this method uses the condoms as a resevoir (lolol…) to hold 17 drops of liquid, and then utilizes the snug fit (further tittering) and physics to create a seal, and when you push the carto gently and slowly into the condom (bwa ha ha) the liquid is forced up the resevoir in the carto (the one you generally want to keep liquid out of when filling from the other side)… anyway, i tried it and it worked great. here is the video.
I found it was best to blow put the excess into a paper towel just to be safe, concerning battery drippage and thus dysfunction… gotta watch that. I generally blow out the last few drops til i dont feel the excess in the tube, and its a nice clean draw, with no burbling.
I also use tanks, and other kinds of cartos, but as far as 510 blanks, or empty pre-filleds, this is a good thing.
also, i discovered a small squeeze bottle with a metal tip extension, which you can slide right down t the bottom of the cart, to fill bottom up, instead of top to bottom. that also works well. here is where to get a bottle. they are very cheap. <3 Its the same concept as a syringe but if you get pulled over, you will have a far easier time explaining its use, and prolly wont go to jail.
